About the Event

The first half of 2022 has seen the biggest decline in capital market values since the 1970’s. Change has become the only constant and the speed of change is ever increasing, requiring increased agility from all organisations – none more so than for listed companies. A few courageous leaders have changed how their businesses operate and capitalised on game-changing new opportunities, as they understood early on that the rules of stakeholder value creation have fundamentally changed over the last two decades. Who are these CEO’s? What exactly are they doing differently compared to their peers, and just how much value are they creating for their stakeholders? These are just some of the questions I’ll be unpacking with Louis Geeringh, the former executive for service innovation and growth of the largest professional services firm in the world, a former CEO of the largest management consulting business in Africa and former Group CEO of a leading emerging markets alternative asset manager. Louis is currently the Chairman of Gibraltar-based Futureworld International. With many years’ experience advising and investing in companies, I can’t think of a better guest to explain both the new rules of capital markets and how leaders should respond. He’ll also be sharing live data from Futureworld International’s proprietary technology to provide an outside-in view of listed companies, sectors and capital markets in major countries around the world. During the discussion, he will provide unique insights for South African listed companies that highlight how global investors seeking returns are voting with their capital.
